This position requires a dedicated individual who can operate a delivery vehicle, manage routes effectively, and provide excellent customer service. The Rural Carrier Associate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Duties Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner. Operate delivery vehicles, including those with manual transmissions, ensuring safe driving practices. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading mail and packages. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to deliveries. Perform route driving duties while maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury. Assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including sorting and organizing mail. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle. Requirements Previous experience in delivery driving or commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and navigating rural areas is an asset. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed throughout the workday. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary. Must be able to pass any required background checks or assessments related to the position. Must have a vehicle suitable for mail delivery.
