This position requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable with route driving and has a strong commitment to customer service. The Rural Carrier Associate will work independently, managing their delivery routes while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Duties Drive designated routes to deliver mail and packages to rural customers. Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of items. Operate various equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from customers during deliveries. Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Handle heavy lifting of packages, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Navigate using manual transmission vehicles when required. Experience Previous experience in route driving or commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures. Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job effectively. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is beneficial but not mandatory.
