This position requires a dedicated individual who can manage various driving tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Rural Carrier Associate will operate a vehicle to deliver mail, handle packages, and perform related duties as needed. Duties Drive a postal vehicle to deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes. Load and unload mail and parcels, ensuring proper handling and organization. Operate a pallet jack when necessary for moving heavy items. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Comply with all safety regulations and postal service policies while on duty. Skills Proficient in driving, with experience as a Courier or Delivery Driver preferred. Familiarity with Commercial Driving regulations is advantageous. Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission is a plus. Experience using a pallet jack for loading and unloading goods. Strong physical capability for heavy lifting and moving items as required. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
