ROLE SUMMARY
Greet patients in a friendly manner and give positive first impression of organization, provide patients with initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

) Greet patients upon arrival Check in patients Give patients ipad with information to complete Collect patient copayments, coinsurance, and/or outstanding balances Empty incoming fax folder daily Help answer phones Scan in patient information to electronic medical record Update patient contact information in practice management system Process outgoing mail Follow HIPAA guidelines Other duties as assigned by Practice Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent Computer skills and ability to use practice management software Ability to use typical office machines including fax, copier, scanner, and multi-line phone
PREFERRED SKILLS
Previous experience in a medical office setting Clear and articulate phone voice Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to remain seated and stationary for prolonged periods of time. Ability to consistently operate a computer, keyboard, and other office machinery such as telephones, printers, etc. Will need to occasionally move about front desk space/clinic to access machinery and resources as needed.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
(ENVIRONMENTAL) Normal medical front desk/reception environment. Possible exposures typical of a clinical setting.
