Medical Receptionist/Assistant Sunshine Clinic 4330 Highway 78 E, Jasper, AL 35501 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient care, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the clinic. This role is critical in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar for providers. Perform insurance verification and ensure accurate patient information is collected. Handle clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records. Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic for patient management. Assist in managing office supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, treatment plans, and any necessary follow-up care. Collaborate with dental clinic staff to facilitate seamless patient experiences. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred. Familiarity with medical office management practices and procedures is essential. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is a plus, along with experience using Dentrix or similar dental software. Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism.
