Veterinary Receptionist Highway Animal Hospital 555 Kings Highway East, Fairfield, CT 06825 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and their beloved animals. This position requires a passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Duties Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Process payments and manage medical collections as necessary. Provide basic information on animal anatomy, pet care, and husbandry practices to clients. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients. Qualifications Knowledge of animal anatomy is preferred to assist in client education. Previous experience in a veterinary setting or related field is highly desirable. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices can be beneficial. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and appointments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
