Kennel Assistant/Receptionist Preppy Pet 3825 West Eau Gallie Boulevard, Melbourne, FL 32934

Responsibilities:

• Provide care and attention to pets in our care
• Feed, walk, and play with pets according to their specific needs
• Administer medications or treatments as instructed by pet owners or veterinarians
• Clean and maintain pet areas, including litter boxes, cages, and outdoor spaces
• Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to mangement
• Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding feeding, exercise, and other care requirements
• Provide companionship and socialization for pets to ensure their well-being

Skills:

• Experience working in a kennel or similar animal care environment
• Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or bags of pet food)
• Knowledge of animal care practices
• Familiarity with pet care techniques and best practices
• Understanding of pet care principles and techniques
• Proficiency in providing general pet care, including grooming, bathing, and nail trimming
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including proper restraint techniques Qualifications
• Kennel experience
• Animal handling and restraint skills
• Pet care knowledge
• Dog training experience
• Veterinary background or training
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
• Customer service skills
• Pet grooming experience is a plus
