Purpose Statement :
The Receptionist is responsible for receiving parents, students, and faculty as they enter the school building and working to meet their needs in a way that displays the love of Christ and our desire to serve them in any way we can.
Scope :
This position is key to the effective, efficient operation of the school office. This person interacts with the parents, students, and staff of the Academy. This person is a key information resource person.
General Duties and Responsibilities :
Set-up for the arrival of visitors to our school. Greet and assist visitors to the school and sign in them in when visiting. Provide current information about services, ministries, directions, outside resources, etc. Arrange for the delivery of items to students and teachers. Ensure the “no contact” lists for all students are followed and adhered to. Assist with fire drills, lock-down, and tornado drills. Perform necessary administrative/clerical duties such as photocopying, answering, and transfer all incoming calls Request facilities and custodial assistance needs for teachers. Sign for delivered orders. Keep the reception desk neat and orderly from all sides. Perform other tasks as assigned. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
