Job Summary:
The Veterinary Receptionist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring exceptional client service, and leading the reception team with professionalism and positivity. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as a genuine love for animals and people.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the reception team, ensuring adequate coverage and performance. Train and mentor new and existing reception staff on policies, procedures, and client service standards. Act as the main point of contact for reception-related issues and client concerns. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming. Maintain accurate client records and support the use of veterinary software systems. Handle complex client interactions with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and management to ensure smooth clinic operations. Monitor and maintain supplies and equipment used at the front desk. Assist with client communications via phone, email, and in person. Support the implementation of practice goals and policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of veterinary reception or customer service experience. Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (e.g., AVImark,) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities. Compassion for animals and their owners. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
