Service Receptionist Front Desk Duties:
1. Customer Service Greeting customers in person or over the phone Answering inquiries about services, availability, and pricing Creating work orders or service tickets Explaining repairs, timelines, and costs 2. Scheduling & Coordination Booking service appointments and managing the shop calendar Coordinating with mechanics to understand job progress and communicate updates to customers Prioritizing emergency or time-sensitive jobs 3.
Administrative Duties Data entry:
recording vehicle and customer information Managing paperwork like invoices, estimates, parts orders, and service records Handling payments, issuing receipts, and occasionally managing petty cash or daily deposits 4. Parts & Inventory Support Ordering or tracking parts as needed (in some shops) Communicating with suppliers or vendors / uhaul 5. Shop Communication Serving as the go-between for customers and mechanics Communicating clearly and professionally under pressure, especially if delays or issues arise Preferred Skills Strong communication and organization Basic mechanical knowledge is a huge plus Familiarity with service software (like Mitchell1, ShopBoss, or Fleet maintenance systems) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment To apply contact
