Job Summary:

The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk duties of our office and assisting the Practice Manager in a variety of administrative tasks. The Receptionist will greet guests, clients, vendors, and other members of the community with a positive and friendly attitude and will be responsible for the daily reception needs of our office. The Receptionist will be responsible for insurance verification, referrals and pre-authorizations. We are looking for a team player with excellent customer service skills and preferably bilingual to manage a fast-paced front desk.

Job Description:

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answers any inquiries. Maintains the reception area. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Controls revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, and controlling credit extended to patients. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education:

High School Diploma or Associate Degree preferred Qualifications needed: Experience in insurances One year or more experience in the medical field is required Spanish speaking Experience with Athena preferred
