Description:
This position is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks related to patient registration, scheduling, office flow, chart accuracy, insurance verification, and patient payments. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task are integral to the position. The target is to complete all responsibilities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Greeting Patients :
Welcoming patients as they arrive, checking them in for their appointments, and directing them to the lobby.
Scheduling Appointments :
Scheduling new appointments and rescheduling existing ones as needed.
Handling Phone Calls :
Answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments over the phone, providing information to patients, taking messages for medical staff, and transferring calls to the appropriate department.
Patient Registration :
Collecting and entering patient information into the electronic health records (EHR) system, verifying insurance details, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
Insurance Verification :
Checking patients’ insurance coverage, determining their copayments or deductibles, and explaining insurance policies and billing procedures to patients.
Processing Payments :
Collecting payments for services and issuing receipts.
Maintaining Cleanliness/Housekeeping :
Keeping the front desk area and lobby clean and organized, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Patient Communication :
Communicating with patients about appointment reminders and other relevant information. Preparing Documents for the

Prepare proper consent forms, billing slips, charts, and any other documents needed for patient visit. Coordinating with
Medical Staff :
Liaising between patients and medical staff, communicating patient needs or concerns, and ensuring efficient flow of information within the office.

Adhering to all medical office policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
Problem-Solving :
