Job Description

Law Office Receptionist/Assistant Oughterson, Sundheim & Associates, P.A. Stuart, FL 34994 Job Summary Immediate opening for Law Office Receptionist/ Assistant for sole practitioner in a small law firm practicing in the areas of estate planning, probate/trust administration and general law office practices and procedures. The role involves providing support to one attorney in a shared legal office environment. Work hours are Monday – Thursday 9-5. 1 hour lunch break daily 12-1 . The office is closed on Fridays. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting attorney with answering multi-line telephone system and administrative tasks, organizing supplies, general office cleaning and organization. Opening and organizing legal files with filing as needed. Preparing and Proofreading legal documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Greeting clients, scheduling appointments and maintaining office calendar. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal ethics. Requirements Experience as Legal Receptionist/Assistant within a law office environment. Familiarity with estate planning, probate and trust administration and general law office practices and procedures is helpful. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Calendar. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and team collaboration. Helpful to have an understanding of probate and trust administration processes and e-filing procedures and recording of legal documents. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy office.
