The role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for clients and their pets, ensuring high-quality care and communication throughout the pet’s stay. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills to manage both front desk duties and kennel care effectively. Duties Greet clients and provide detailed descriptions of services offered. Check in pets and manage phone inquiries. Multitask effectively between reception duties and kennel care. Monitor pets for any medical issues and report them as necessary. Follow feeding and medication schedules as directed by clients or veterinary specifications. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and play areas. Keep accurate records of each pet’s behavior and health. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Control dogs of various breeds and sizes using appropriate equipment. Adapt to a fast-paced environment and complete tasks in a timely manner. Support pet owners with information on proper pet care and training techniques. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving large bags of food or cleaning supplies. Experience Previous experience in animal care or working as a kennel technician is preferred but not required. Experience in phone etiquette. Ability to multitask and problem-solve in stressful situations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols. Familiarity with veterinary practices or as a veterinary technician is a plus. Experience in pet grooming or general pet care will be beneficial.
