Job Description

School Receptionist / Classroom Assistant South Florida Autism Charter School 18050 Homestead Avenue, Miami, FL 33157 South Florida Autism Charter School (SFACS) is hiring for School Receptionist / Classroom Assistant for a K-5 school. The position requires assisting in the office and substituting in classrooms, as needed.

LOCATION

18050 Homestead Avenue, Miami, FL 33157

SALARY:

$16 per hour; part-time to start; 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; position may grow to full-time as the program grows.

SCHEDULE

Monday to Friday, 30-35 hours per week, 12 month position

BENEFITS

(available if position transitions to full-time): Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K; 8 personal days / 5 vacation days per year

Within 1 to 2 weeks

Skills and Qualifications:

Bilingual; English/Spanish Prior clerical experience in a school setting preferred School diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred Minimum of 2 years prior Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint. Strong secretarial and organizational skills. Critical attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capability to quickly learn and apply new technology Team-oriented approach, as well as ability to work independently Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to have strong, positive communication and interaction skills when dealing with co-works, students, administrators, and parents. Typing and Editing is a must Other Administrative tasks as determined by Principal This position requires a high degree of accuracy, accountability, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Work is reviewed periodically for accuracy and conformance with general instructions by the Principal or designated school administrator. Prior experience with children preferred.

Our Mission:

To provide education and services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) residing in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. We target students with ASD who have communication deficits and/or behavioral challenges, and who may require training in self-help skills.
