Job Summary:

At Nassau Veterinary Specialists is a new, family-owned, veterinary specialist hospital in North Florida looking for an empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our front desk team as a Veterinary Receptionist. Our veterinary hospital is dedicated to offering cutting-edge treatments while maintaining a warm and caring environment for both our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities :

Greet and assist clients and their pets in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for specialty consultations, diagnostics, and follow-up care Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing clear and accurate information about services, procedures, and policies Collect and verify client information, ensuring patient records are complete and up-to-date Process payments, issue receipts, and address billing inquiries with professionalism Coordinate with specialist veterinarians, technicians, and medical staff to ensure seamless patient care Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient reception area Assist with medical records management and ensure confidentiality at all times

Qualifications :

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is highly preferred; experience in a specialist setting is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and sometimes difficult situations with empathy and professionalism Comfortable working with a diverse range of clients and complex cases Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to use practice management software (experience with specialty-focused systems is a plus) Knowledge of general animal care, medical terminology, and specialty treatments is a bonus Passion for animal welfare and providing high-quality care High school diploma or equivalent
