96 This Position is located at City Hall Public Works Department Performs routine work involving extensive public contact in person and over the phone. Receives callers; answers routine questions on departmental/division procedures, operations, and functions; and directs callers to destinations. Work requires knowledge of departmental/division operations. The incumbent may operate a multi-line switchboard and standard office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, and calculators. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed for quality of service rendered to employees and the public.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D Certificate and one (1) year of experience as a receptionist or telephone console operator; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Some positions require the ability to type 35 CWPM.
