Introduction:
Join our dynamic team at Oral and Facial Surgery Center as a Front Desk Receptionist. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to manage our front desk operations. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments and resolve inquiries. Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Assist new patients with completing forms and explain what documentation is needed. Ensure patient information is accurate including billing and insurance information. Maintain, manage, and update patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations. Calculate benefits and collect patient co-pays. Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality. Ensure the reception area and waiting room are tidy and presentable. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or dental setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is an advantage.
High school diploma:
additional qualifications in healthcare administration are a plus.
