Position Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff at our behavioral health facility. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and professional environment while ensuring smooth front office operations, client check-in, scheduling, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in clients in a warm and professional manner Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments using the EHR system Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or payments at the time of service Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Ensure waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming Assist clinicians and office staff with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing Monitor client flow to ensure efficient service delivery Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries Maintain supplies for the front desk and office area Support coordination of telehealth sessions and paperwork
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred) 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with HIPAA and mental health confidentiality standards Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or Saturday hours Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
