Job Summary:
Lake Nona Animal Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Receptionist/CSR to join our busy, fast-paced team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play an essential role in ensuring that we provide excellent customer service and care. This position requires previous veterinary experience, as our receptionists handle a variety of tasks that support the clinic’s operations, provide clients with accurate information, and assist in patient care. Our History:
Lake Nona Animal Clinic opened its doors in September of 2008 at 10743 Narcoossee Rd. The original location was in the strip mall behind the Outback restaurant and featured only 3 examination rooms. It was half the size of our current location! After serving the growing Lake Nona Community for 11 years, we recognized the need for more space and on October 22, 2019, we moved to our current location at 12263 Andric Ln. We are proud of our journey and what we’ve accomplished over the years, thanks to the vision of our founders, Dr. Miguel Rivera and Dr. Ina Hernandez, who continue to practice here full time. We are excited to see what the future holds as we continue to grow and provide exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all incoming phone calls, providing clients with accurate and timely information. Schedule appointments appropriately, considering the type of doctor and appointment required. Review and update medical records, ensuring reminders are current and providing accurate details. Follow up with pet owners to check on their pets’ progress and well-being. Confirm scheduled appointments and review specific instructions based on the appointment type. Manage all incoming text messages, emails, and faxes in a timely manner. Greet clients promptly and assist them as needed during their visit. Explain procedures, medication recommendations, their rationale, pricing, and the value of the services. Maintain a paperless office using EzyVet as our EMR/PMS. Stay organized, multitask efficiently, and manage multiple phone lines while maintaining a calm and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED). At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting (REQUIRED). Knowledge of vaccines, vaccination protocols, common medications and their side effects, medical conditions, procedures, and treatments. Strong communication skills, with excellent spelling and grammar. Friendly, approachable, and empathetic personality with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively. Good team player who can both delegate and take feedback constructively. Comfortable handling multiple phone lines and a high volume of tasks. Fluency in English (required), Spanish (preferred). Experience with practice management software/EMR (EzyVet preferred, but not required).

Schedule:
10-hour shifts with 1 hour lunch break Weekends (Saturdays 7:20 am – 1pm) Clinic hours are until 6:00 pm, but receptionists typically stay until 6:30 pm to assist with closing tasks.

Our clinic is conveniently located within walking distance of a gym, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Chipottle and other various food options, and shopping areas—ideal for breaks and convenient access.
