Essential Duties, Roles, and Tasks:

Reception and front desk clerk is an essential job within the company’s four dealerships. As a receptionist, many different duties, roles, skills, and tasks are required. The receptionist job is pivotal to the success of each dealership which, in turn, contributes to the overall success of the entire company. As a receptionist, customer service is key! As the first and last person that a customer encounters when conducting business with us, reception and front desk employees’ importance to operations cannot be understated. As a receptionist, one is required to:

  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Maintain punctual attendance
  • Provide the utmost positive customer service to all who walk-in the front doors
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude for customers and fellow employees
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and effectively communicate clearly on the telephone
  • Must be able to screen phone calls and direct them to the correct departments
  • Direct walk-in customers to the department they wish to conduct business needs
  • Let the departments handle customer specific wants or needs!
  • Maintain situational awareness with departments and customers
  • If departments are busy and customers are waiting on hold over phone, offer to take a message
  • Receive, sort, and properly distribute mail or any office personnel related packages
  • Handle the ordering and inventory of office related supplies
  • Maintain company office expense bills and invoices
  • Reconcile pricing to ensure company is getting the best deal!
  • Have basic computer and software skills
  • Possess clerical skills such as filing, organizing, scanning, copying, and e-mailing
  • Process various payment methods for Service and Sales/Rental invoices (Comchek, EFS, T-Check, credit card, cash
  • but no Parts invoices here)
  • Maintain any break room and customer waiting areas inventories and cleanliness/tidiness
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, rules and regulations
  • Assist
  • sales & rental operations with clerical demands, as needed (Temporary tags and minor correspondence)
