As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver focused and empathetic patient care at all times. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival, and you have a willingness to receive training in various areas. Assist in the management of patient care in support of the provider, performing a broad range of clinical and clerical support activities. You’ll be a success if you have: Experience in fast-paced, service environment Able to articulate Platinum Healthcare’s values in relation to service and performance Attention to detail, highly organized, and can offer and accept help when called for Interpersonal communication skills with exceptional listening abilities Compassionate, kind, and open-minded Teamwork experienced Strong organizational and planning skills Excellent customer service, communication, and phone etiquette Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding safety hazards A courteous and efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions, and complaints Clinical & Administrative Functions (may include, but not limited to): Greet and Welcome Patients Check patients in and out: Collect Payments/Copays/Coinsurance Verifies patient health insurance benefits Taking medical histories Explaining treatment procedures and exercises to patients Preparing patients for examinations Assisting the physician by setting up the treatment rooms Instructing patients about home equipment Schedule appointments Using computer applications (Google, Google Sheets, Noridian, CGS) Answering telephones
