Veterinary Receptionist The Cat Doctor-Feline Medical Center 2900 Youree Dr, Shreveport, LA 71104 Job description Do you love cats? Watch too many cat videos? Wonder why are cats so weird? This could be a match because The Cat Doctor is seeking a veterinary receptionist to talk to people about cats. Applicants must be able to work any hours from 7:30am-5pm Monday through Friday as well as weekends and holidays when required. The Cat Doctor-Feline Medical Center is a feline only veterinary hospital serving the Ark-La-Tex since 2007. We offer full veterinary care, boarding, and grooming. Our mission is to provide quality care and education in all things CAT! Veterinary Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities Veterinary receptionists greet clients, set appointments, and process payments. They’re the first person a visitor encounters in the vet’s office, and as such should be warm and welcoming. This job requires the ability to do the following work: Provide great customer service including greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and taking payments. Answer phone calls, which include answering questions, screening, and scheduling appointments. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email. Update patient charts. Become proficient with Avimark – our Practice Management Software system. Assist with pet supply purchases such as pet food, supplements, and grooming items. Assist clients with cat carriers. Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room. In addition to providing excellent customer service to clients and ensuring that front desk operations run smoothly, the receptionist acts as the primary greeter when a client enters the waiting room with their pet, alerts the appropriate technician or veterinarian of the client’s arrival, and processes the client’s payment at the conclusion of the appointment. All applicants must be able to perform all duties listed below: Eager to learn. Arrive to work on time daily. Have great customer service skills. Take care of and be attentive to all pets in our care. Work well independently and as a team. Lift up to 40 pounds. Work on your feet majority of the day. Work fast and efficiently. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. Pass a background check. Pass a drug test.

Required:
