Job Description
Receptionist 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 6316 Humphreys Street, Harahan, LA 70123 Donovan Marine is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receptionist/Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, both in-person and over the phone, while also handling clerical duties such as data entry, reporting and posting payments. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the wholesale trade industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist clients, customers, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer and route incoming phone calls to appropriate staff members. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and other correspondence. Input and maintain accurate data in company databases and spreadsheets (e.g., customer information, job orders, schedules). Organize and maintain files, records, and other office documents. Assist with general administrative duties as needed (e.g., scanning, photocopying, filing). Communicate with customers and vendors regarding project updates or inquiries. Ensure the reception area and office are tidy and presentable at all times.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred. Strong typing and data entry skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment. Friendly, positive attitude with a customer service mindset.
