JOB SUMMARY
The Receptionist is expected to monitor incoming calls at the Central Administrative Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. The position provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities, including the responsibility of answering and directing incoming calls, greeting visitors, mail distribution, and support of the automobile donation program. In addition, the receptionist must also be alert and watchful of all visitors who enter the building to be the first one to alert security if there is an issue of concern.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and direct all incoming calls to appropriate staff members, department, and/or community partners. Greet and direct visitors to the company in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. Receive, sort and forward incoming mail. Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.). Maintain the appearance of the reception area, kitchen area and other common spaces; Open and close visitor area (locking doors, closing blinds, turning off lights). Assist with the ordering of supplies for administrative office staff. Follow safety protocols in the event of an emergency. Record auto donations into database system including notes and outstanding issues. Properly file and code donations for research, statistics, and report generation. Assist when needed to secure appropriate donor titles, registration, affidavits, bill of sale, acts of donation, and keys for auto donation program. Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Non-essential) Adhere to the designated dress code as stipulated for the specific role. May also assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filling, and collating.

Maintains critical relationships with the following: Mail delivery vendors (FedEx, USPS, UPS, etc.) Office supply vendors (Louisiana Office Products, Amazon Business, etc).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to: High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, and software applications A high level of computer proficiency in the utilization of
Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Access and Outlook is preferred. Superb phone etiquette. Excellent verbal communication skills, including use of professional grammar. The ability to organize, manage, and execute multiple priorities. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in a normal office environment generally while seated at a desk. Dexterity is required to performing work with personal computer keyboard, calculator and other office equipment
