Pettis County Assisted Living is seeking a dependable and welcoming Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors, you will play a critical role in creating a friendly and professional environment while supporting the daily operations of our facility. This position requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors in a warm, professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments or staff. Manage the front desk and reception area to ensure it is clean, organized, and inviting. Provide information to visitors and callers regarding the facility, policies, and services offered. Maintain visitor logs and ensure compliance with security and safety protocols. Schedule and coordinate appointments for residents, staff, and visitors as needed. Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records. Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and other deliveries. Monitor and maintain supplies for the reception area. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support. Handle emergency situations promptly by contacting the appropriate personnel or emergency services.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration is a plus. Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in a health care setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers). Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Compassionate and customer-service-oriented approach, with sensitivity to the needs of residents and families. Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
