Job DescriptionThe spa front desk plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of the spa. As such, the Spa Concierge assumes a vital role in each and every logistical operation relating directly and indirectly to overall guest satisfaction and ultimate success of the spa. Given the integral nature of the position, the spa concierge demeanor must be reflective at all times and of the highest standards of professionalism exemplified by IP. A consistently positive attitude, knowledge of all facets of the operation and attention to detail are traits which our spa receptionists must possess.

Constantly answering phones, booking appointments, checking guests in and out of the facility and completing all shift reports and paperwork accuratelyConstantly demonstrates exceptional knowledge of the spa’s treatments, products used, their benefits, and ingredients and be able to communicate these to guestsConstantly informing guests of all services available, describing each in detail, and booking according to guests needs and preferencesConstantly provide excellent guest services to all spa guestsConstantly up-selling services to groups and clients to increase spa revenuesConstantly assist guests with retail product selections and educate them on correct useConstantly ensuring efficient, correct and accurate POS with all ticketsConstantly proactively monitoring the books to ensure:

Reservations, including group reservations, are complete and correct in order to foresee and prevent problems and guest complaintsReservations are made with regard to productivity to reduce the amount of down time for therapists, estheticians, and salon staff.

Constantly ascertaining satisfaction of guests upon check-out and dealing with guest complaints as appropriateConstantly monitoring the guest areas of spa to ensure that the front desk, retail area, locker areas, are at all times neat, orderly, and well stockedConstantly participating in meetings to discuss and share pertinent information with spa management and to find ways to improve guest service, product quality, and productivityConstantly communicate to management and pass on pertinent information regarding the facility, associates, guests, supplies/repairs needed, and other relevant informationConstantly ensuring that service standards are met at all times for the front of spa areas including front desk, retail area, and locker areas; following all policies and procedures as provided by spa managerConstantly make all guests feel welcome and take ownership of simple requestsConstantly report any guest issuesConstantly completing special tasks deemed necessary by spa management in a timely manner and without promptingConstantly perform any or all duties as assigned by managementConstantly comply with all policies and proceduresConstantly complete all established checklistsConstantly follow uniform and grooming guidelinesConstantly help in all areas of the spaConstantly always look for organization opportunities without being asked to do soConstantly follow the V.I.E.W. steps on a consistent basisOccasionally help train new associates QualificationsMust be 18 years of age2 years college or equivalent experience1+ year employment in a spa/salon environmentRetail experiences a plusA superior sense of organization, control, and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, busy environment.

Ability to type at least 40 words per minuteMust possess excellent communication skills with the ability to express self in a professional, clear, and concise fashion.

Must present a polished, impeccable appearance and a professional demeanorMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a teamMust be able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekendsPreferred spa knowledge and computer knowledgeOral and written proficiency in the English languageConstant standing, sitting, listening, reading, and speaking Constantly using wrist motion, dexterity, eye/hand coordination, writing.
