The Receptionist manages the front desk on a daily basis and performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As the first point of contact for the organization, the Receptionist plays a key role in making a positive impression on our visitors and providing essential support across the organization. Examples of Duties Welcome visitors into building and direct them to the appropriate person or office. Ensuring compliance with protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Answer and direct phone calls to the correct department or staff member. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Provide excellent service within the university’s service standards and brand attributes. Maintain the reception area keeping the reception area and common areas clean and tidy. Providing information and directions to campus buildings or facilities. Other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must be able to speak and write clearly and proficient in standard English. Empathetic listening skills. Customer service experience is preferred.
