Job Description
Front Desk Associate Grind Fitness+ Hickory, NC 28601 As a Front Desk Associate, you will be the first point of contact for members and guests. Your role is essential in creating a positive first impression and delivering outstanding customer service. You will assist with membership inquiries, check-ins, retail sales, cleaning duties, and overall support to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet all members, guests, and visitors professionally Handle member check-ins and verify memberships Answer phone calls, emails, and member inquiries in a timely and professional manner Promote and sell gym memberships and retail products Assist with membership sign-ups, tours, and renewals Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, workout areas, and common spaces Perform light cleaning duties, including wiping down equipment, restocking supplies, cleaning restrooms, and ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout the facility Enforce gym policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment Handle basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and point-of-sale transactions Support the management team and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Bilingual in English and Spanish required (must be able to communicate clearly with all members and staff) Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred (fitness industry experience is a plus!) Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems Willingness to perform cleaning tasks and maintain a tidy, safe gym environment Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
