The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system. Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism. Assist veterinary staff with patient intake, including gathering medical history and performing basic assessments. Provide information on pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Proficient in veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff. Experience in animal handling and restraint techniques for safe interactions with pets. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is advantageous. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and provide outstanding customer service. A background in pet care or dog training will enhance interactions with clients regarding their pets’ needs. Previous experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
