The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during exams or procedures when necessary. Provide information on preventative care, nutrition, and general pet wellness to clients. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle any client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred. Familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential for effective communication. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and animal anatomy is highly beneficial. Skills in animal handling and restraint are advantageous for assisting during examinations. Understanding of animal husbandry practices will enhance client education efforts. Experience in dog training or kennel management is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets.
