Front Desk Receptionist Job Description:
Under the direction of the Salon Owner and Human Resource and Financial Manager and in partnership with Administrative Assistant, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointments, executing administrative duties, and promoting the salon’s holistic beauty products and services. This role also encompasses maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the salon environment.
Responsibilities:
Client Hospitality and Management
- Warmly greet clients upon arrival and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Offer clients beverages and snacks to enhance their overall experience and ensure their comfort during their visit.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and efficiently manage the salon calendar.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and social media in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide clients with detailed information about services, products, and promotions.
- Address client complaints and feedback with professionalism and a resolution-oriented approach.
- Inform management of client issues in timely fashion.
- Manage client records and process payments accurately. Salon Operations, Inventory, & Media Management
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Support the salon team by keeping clean and organized overall space
- Ensure the retail shelf is clean, organized, and free of dust.
- Fill and label products as required.
- Maintain ongoing laundry duties throughout the day.
- Clean and sanitize the bathroom throughout the day.
- Take trash out daily.
- Keep beverages and ice replenished.
- Update social media channels daily.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service or receptionist role, ideally within the beauty or wellness industry. Will train the right candidate.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Professional attire and demeanor.
- Proficiency with salon management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to clean beauty, sustainability, and holistic health practices.
- Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion and professionalism.
