JOB TITLE
: Receptionist
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
: Greets patients and visitors. Completes the registration process for all patients scheduled for surgery. Registration includes review of procedure, obtaining insurance information and collection of copay and/or deductibles on the day of surgery. Responsiblities includes preparing charts prior to the day of surgery to include all forms related to the specific type of surgical procedure being performed. Basic knowledge of medical terminology required. Understanding of medical claims billing a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred. Two or more years of medical office experience required.
