Job Description

Fred Smith Company is currently searching for an experienced Receptionist for our corporate center in Raleigh . FSC is an established, and growing, heavy highway, site construction contractor and asphalt manufacturer with approximately 1,300 employees based in Raleigh, North Carolina and operating as far East as Kitty Hawk and as far West as Winston-Salem.

Job Duties:

Answering and dispatching incoming telephone calls and voicemails to appropriate persons or divisions. Greet visitors, take and deliver messages, accept mail and office deliveries, etc. Provide a high level of efficient and effective communication with employees and guests at all levels. Order and stock office supplies and breakroom supplies. Provide occasional concierge services, such as travel arrangements, hotel reservations, etc. Coordinate and schedule both in-person and virtual meetings. File, fax, or shred documents as required. Record minutes during meetings. Compose letters and documents as dictated. Deliver items, documents, etc. to appropriate offices within corporate center Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience as a receptionist in a high-volume office environment. Bilingual preferred, but not required (English/Spanish) Must be proficient in various computer related skills, tasks, and programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, etc. Must be able to take direction. Valid Driver’s License preferred, but not required. High School Diploma required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
