A successful candidate will be highly organized, a quick learner, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean and organized studio and uphold all real hot yoga standards. This role is vital in ensuring our studio runs smoothly and remains a clean, inviting space for all members. The ideal Front Desk and Studio Caretaker must be trustworthy in both the studio and with confidential information. They must be reliable, loyal, supportive, exercise good judgement, and be a strong team partner and collaborator. real hot yoga studios are a home to us, and we are looking for someone who will offer all who come through our doors the sense of “feeling at home.” The real hot yoga Montvale Front Desk and Studio Caretaker will report to the Studio Manager.

Responsibilities :
Front Desk Duties:
Customer Service:

Greet members and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, assisting with check-ins, class registrations, and membership inquiries.

Phone and Text Message Management:

Answer phone calls and respond to text message promptly, providing accurate information about classes, schedules, class pricing options and studio policies.

Sales Transactions:

Process payments for classes, memberships, and retail items accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

Membership Support:

Assist with member account management, including sign-ups, renewals, and addressing any questions or concerns.

Cash Management:

Handle cash transactions, balance the cash at the beginning and end of shifts, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Temperature Management:

Ensure the practice area maintains an optimal thermal comfort during classes.

Studio Promotion:

Inform members about upcoming events, workshops, and promotions, and assist with sign-ups and registrations.

Be a champion:

Provide exceptional friendliness and warmth to yogis, teachers and staff that inspires everyone to uphold high hospitality standards and real hot yoga’s core beliefs and values. Exhibit passion for the real hot yoga culture and brand.

Studio Caretaker Duties:
Cleaning:

Ensure all studio spaces, including the practice room, lobby area, bathrooms, showers, and common areas, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Sanitization:

Disinfect high-touch surfaces, yoga mats, props, and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all members.

Floor Care:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a pristine appearance throughout the studio.

Waste Management:

Empty trash bins and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal of waste.

Laundry Duties:

Wash, fold, and organize studio towels and any other linens used in classes or by members.

Organizational Tasks:

Keep the lobby area, storage spaces, and studio props neatly organized and easily accessible.

Opening and Closing Duties:

Arrive early to prepare the studio for the day, including setting up the front desk for class check-in, checking the voice mail, turning on lights and music, and ensuring the practice room is heated and ready for classes. Closing the

Studio:

Ensure the studio is clean and organized at the end of the day, put away computers, turn off heat, lights, and music, fill beverage refrigerator and lock the front door.

Qualifications :

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a similar setting. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and tasks. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, and moving equipment and supplies. Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.

Physical Requirements:

Employee must be able to work hours that may exceed 8 hours per day and/or up to 40 hours per week including nights and weekends, especially during peak activity periods. Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time and keep up with a fast-paced environment. Must be able to reach with hands and arms and lift general supplies and inventory.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation:

$17 per hour Merchandise discounts, free yoga classes at the Montvale location and discounts on studio workshops and events. Flexible part-time hours, perfect for balancing other commitments. A supportive and positive work environment within a vibrant community.

Schedule :

Up to 20hrs per week Weekend availability and holidays 8- 10-hour shift; may vary week to week with a combination of day/morning/evening shifts
