Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at our Sheepshead Bay location. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience while ensuring efficient front office operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, fluent in both English and Russian, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Interaction:
Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism; ensure all check-in/out procedures are completed accurately.
Phone & Email Communication:
Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, manage voicemails and emails in a prompt, courteous manner.
Appointment Scheduling:
Coordinate and confirm appointments using the practice’s scheduling system; manage provider calendars.
Administrative Support:
Process incoming mail, maintain office supply inventory, manage filing systems, and support day-to-day front desk operations.
Customer Service:
Resolve patient inquiries and concerns quickly and professionally to maintain a high standard of care and satisfaction.
Office Maintenance:
Keep the reception area clean and organized; report and follow up on maintenance or supply needs.
Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Prior experience in a receptionist or front office role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is required; comfort using standard office equipment.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
Customer Service:
Friendly, resourceful, and service-oriented attitude with a commitment to patient care.
Multitasking:
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Professionalism:
Must present a polished, reliable, and positive image at all times.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional office administration training or certification is a plus.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Russian is required. Proficiency in a language from Central Asia or the Caucasus region (e.g., Georgian, Armenian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Azerbaijani) is a strong plus. Please note that applications that do not demonstrate fluency in both English and Russian will not be considered.
Availability:
