Summary:
Bay Street Animal Hospital is a newly renovated, state-of-the-art, 24/7, 9,000-square-foot facility that includes a well-equipped in-house laboratory, dental and surgical suites, a luxury pet hotel, and grooming facility. We have an experienced, compassionate team of veterinarians and dedicated support staff to provide state-of the-art medical, surgical, emergency, and intensive care, as well as professional grooming and luxury pet boarding services — at affordable prices. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide professional and excellent customer service to our clients and visitors Schedule and confirm appointments including wellness and emergency visits, surgical procedures, technician appointments, ultrasounds, skin consultations, grooming and boarding stays Check clients in for their scheduled appointments and make sure their information is up to date and new clients have signed the appropriate forms Assess/triage illnesses and injuries appropriately Create treatment and surgical estimates upon request and ensure the appropriate consent paperwork has been completed Process payments, discuss payment options including CareCredit and Scratch Pay, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed Responsible for taking professional and detailed messages for veterinary staff Submit diagnostic test requests when appropriate and follow-up on results daily Submit and fulfill medication requests daily upon approval Complete follow-up phone calls to pet owners and veterinary clinics as needed Ensure scans and faxes are completed in a timely manner before the end of your shift Monitor work email address, respond to messages when appropriate and complete daily tasks Maintain a positive and supportive attitude in all internal and external communications Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to provide outstanding internal and external client experience and work well on a team Ability to track and adapt to frequent changes in protocols and procedures Client focus with adaptability to different personality types Emotional intelligence and resilience Excellent active listening skills and the ability to quickly develop a rapport with clients over the phone and in-person Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Exceptional customer service and professional phone voice Must be able to think critically and interact effectively with clients and team members Proficiency with computers and strong typing skills Strong verbal and written communication skills required Strong work ethic and self-starter Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment Understanding of medical terminology and basic animal anatomy helpful (or willingness to learn)

Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma/GED (Required) Customer service, social service, or veterinary practice experience (Preferred)
