Job Description
Administrative Office Assistant/Receptionist Huntingdon County Housing Authority 100 Federal Drive, Mount Union, PA 17066 Job Summary An employee in this position is responsible for a variety of basic administrative tasks and will be the first point of contact. This employee will work at the front desk of the main administrative office being responsible for providing assistance, answering questions, directing people to appropriate staff and providing administrative support across the organization. The employee will also perform basic accounting functions such as collecting rent, preparing deposits and maintaining deposit ledger. Responsibilities Collects rent payments, providing a receipt, making daily bank deposits, running daily reports related to tenant’s accounts receivable; logging deposits into deposit register Assists applicants, residents, program participants, landlords, and citizens in a variety of situations providing basic program information or directing the individual to appropriate staff; Prepares requests for maintenance services; processes and files work orders when completed by maintenance staff; Accepts interim notices of change from tenants and program participants reporting income and/or household composition changes; obtains necessary information to document change; forwards to appropriate staff for processing; Processes mail on a daily basis, both outgoing and incoming; time and date stamp all incoming mail; distributes all mail to appropriate staff; Maintains adequate supply of all income verification forms and applications; Provides residents with referral information to other human service organizations; Keeps various administrative staff advised as to the attitudes and activities of residents and program participants; receives written and verbal complaints and forwards to appropriate staff for processing; Provides information to prospective applicants, receives applications, reviews applications to assure they are completed properly; assists with entering and initial processing of applications; Performs related work as required
