Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to the resident and families, work with other members of the interdisciplinary team, and ensure that residents receive the best possible treatment in a variety of settings, including long term care, sub-acute care, and memory care. This role requires strong skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to resident-centered care. Responsibilities Including, but not limited to:
- Responsible for greeting visitors and guests to our facility, including maintaining the Visitor’s Log and checking in vendors or other service providers.
- Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system.
- Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone members of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
- Maintain a current listing of critical residents and/or residents who may not receive phone calls due to their condition. (May refer such calls to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.)
- Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room.
- Ensue guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.
- Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.)
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare environment is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior experience with Scheduling Software required.
- The ideal candidate will also have previous organizational experience.
- Specific experience with Excel, On Shift, and Expense Watch is also a plus.
- All other duties as assigned.
