This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Duties Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for administrative office functions, including but not limited to: 1. Welcomes and assists everyone who enters the office. 2. Answers phone calls and assists customers, directs calls to appropriate office staff as appropriate. 3. Retrieves mail, sorts and distributes mail, faxes, event registrations, payments, etc. 4. Make copies, files, as needed. 5. Enters credit card payment data, membership information into membership database. 6. Pick up lunches for Association meetings held at the Association office. 7. Place orders for office supplies, events, lunches. 8. Keeps track of Association Awards 9. Receives subscription forms and payments for the WUC and enters into database 10. Assist office staff as necessary 11. Tracking sponsorships for Operator Conference, workshops and events. Preferences Previous experience in a similar administrative role is preferred but not required. Experience in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and Quick Books and comfortable learning new software tools. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with clients and colleagues. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing files and records accurately. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. High School degree. Possession of a valid South Carolina driver’s license, or the ability to acquire one. Willingness and ability to travel as required, including furnishing your own reliable vehicle.
