Job description:

Lead Veterinary Receptionist (Full-Time) Pawmetto Lifeline is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Lead Receptionist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for animal welfare, and the ability to lead a front-desk team in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a positive client experience while supporting efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight:

Serve as the first point of escalation for client concerns or front-desk workflow issues. De-escalate situations to a calm and professional level Ensure the reception team follows clinic policies and maintains a professional, courteous demeanor at all times.

Client Services:

Greeting clients and patients warmly upon arrival; manage check-in and check-out procedures. Provide accurate information regarding services, pricing, post-operative care, and appointment policies. Answer phones, respond to voicemails and emails promptly, and manage high call volumes with professionalism.

Administrative Duties:

Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups using veterinary practice management software. Maintain accurate client and patient records. Oversee daily financial transactions including invoicing, payment processing, and end-of-day reconciliations.

Clinic Operations:

Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication. Monitor inventory of front-desk supplies and forms; request reorders as needed. Help maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in office administration or veterinary reception is a plus. Minimum 1-2 years of veterinary reception/customer service experience; prior leadership experience preferred. Proficient with veterinary practice software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work on-site during clinic hours. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with frequent interaction with animals and clients. Ability to sit, stand, and perform computer work for extended periods.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)

Rate of Pay:
