Position Summary:
Rainbow Pediatric PC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Bilingual Front Desk Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for our pediatric patients and their families. This role is essential in ensuring that both English- and Spanish-speaking families feel welcomed, supported, and informed throughout their care journey. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and understand the unique needs of a rural healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families warmly in both English and Spanish Answer and direct incoming calls; provide information and assistance in both languages Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments via phone and in person Register new patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and payments Maintain accurate records in the clinic’s electronic medical record (EMR) system Manage patient check-in/check-out, ensuring efficient patient flow Translate or interpret during patient interactions as needed, both for families and staff Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming front office and waiting area Support administrative functions including scanning, faxing, filing, and data entry Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff, promoting trust and understanding
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written) 1+ year of experience in a healthcare or front desk setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Athena) preferred Friendly, professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children or in a pediatric clinic Familiarity with rural healthcare challenges and community resources

Job Type:
