Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to serve as our Receptionist/Triage Nurse . This dual-role position involves managing front desk operations and providing initial clinical assessments for patients. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both administrative duties and nursing triage, ensuring efficient clinic flow and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Receptionist Duties (Administrative): Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and route calls/messages appropriately. Verify patient insurance and collect co-pays and other required forms. Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately. Coordinate patient flow by informing clinical staff of patient arrivals and delays. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, faxes, and emails. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Assist with billing inquiries and other clerical support as needed. Triage Nurse Duties (Clinical): Assess and prioritize patient needs based on clinical urgency (by phone or in-person). Document symptoms, history, and initial findings in EMR. Communicate with providers regarding urgent concerns or escalations. Assist in the coordination of care, including referrals or emergency interventions. Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as appropriate. Administer basic clinical care such as vital signs, wound checks, and medication reviews if required (depending on licensure and setting).
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a primary care or urgent care setting. Prior front desk or administrative experience is a plus.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using EMR systems and office software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Compassionate and professional demeanor.
Work Environment:
Office/clinical setting. May involve sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Occasional lifting of office supplies or medical equipment.

$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
