Veterinary Receptionist Animal Care Center of Ooltewah 9124 Amos Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animals and strong organizational skills will contribute to a positive experience for both clients and their furry companions. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical collection processes. Assist veterinarians with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing medical charts. Handle cash transactions and process payments in a timely manner. Provide information on pet care, wellness plans, and preventive health measures. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets. Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry practices, and basic veterinary procedures is a plus. Skills in dog handling, aseptic technique, animal catheterization, dog training, veterinary critical care, pet grooming, and kennel management are highly valued. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
