We are looking for a dedicated PBX Operator PRN like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications Promptly answers in-coming and out-going phone calls. Responds to Code Phone which takes priority over any calls, except the fire alarm, making sure that appropriate personnel are notified. Monitors fire panel alarm, OB alarm, Pediatric alarm, and phones where applicable, contacting the fire department and appropriate personnel when needed. Monitors all security calls on radio, contacting appropriate personnel. Pages overhead on Executone System for authorized personnel, physicians and emergency calls. Places and processes long distance calls for various departments and physicians. Assists patients by advertising how to place local and long distance calls. Covers information calls whenever necessary. Keeps current files on admissions and discharges and refers to computer for information. Will work any shift that is requested via supervisor, director or management when needs require. All other duties assigned What qualifications you will need: One (1) year of switchboard experience with voice that is compatible with electronic transmission. Required Operator with at least one (1) year of experience in healthcare setting with clerical and PC experience.
