Switchboard Operator-PRN Position Available In Floyd, Georgia

The Switchboard Operator answers incoming and outgoing calls, transfers calls, pages, provides information and acts as a relay point in emergency situations. The switchboard operator is responsible for issuing name badges and providing controlled access to restricted areas. The operators will also be cross-trained to function as a security dispatcher. The qualified candidate will possess the following: A. Education 1. High school graduate or equivalent B. Experience 1. One year in a related field as a PBX operator or related field preferred 2. Must possess a clear and distinct voice 3. Computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint C. Interpersonal Skills 1. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to customer service and the ability to work with all applicable customers and age groups 2. Works effectively toward a collaborative relationship with the administrative team and community 3. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with ancillary departments Atrium Health Floyd is a system of health care providers serving Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama since 1942.
