We are looking for a Switchboard Group Leader in our Roebuck, SC facility . In this role you will work and lead in 2nd shift. This job involves typically working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting materials, wearing common safety equipment (e.g. cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) being exposed to loud noises and the possibility of bumps, cuts, and scrapes.
Hourly Rate:
$28.10/hr plus $1.25 hourly shift differential
Shift Hours:
2:30pm-11pm , mandatory overtime may be required You’ll make an impact by: Responsibilities Coordinate employees to fulfill the schedule of work Cross Train actions defined by the Supervisor, including updating the matrix. Realize SAP transactions before, during and after the production process. Update reports and files required for the calculation of metrics / measurements of the area. Identify and report any issue impacting the area production. Proactively approaches the points of contact for those departments and forges a working relationship to resolve them. Lead the CIP Team / Projects by empowering the team for ownership. Make sure 5S, 7 Wastes and other Lean principles are applied in the team / area. Empower team and actively take part in the cleaning of equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions. Access and utilize documents using of computers, associated with the manufacture of products (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.) Back up for Supervisor when needed. Perform other work as directed by Supervision. You will win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications 5 years work experience in manufacturing environment Knowledge on all operations in the area, material flow and SAP transactions Knowledge of Switchboard products and processes. Demonstrated multi-tasking skills in an dynamic environment Experience in empowering the team Communication skills and organization skills Experience in training programs Must be able to use Microsoft office Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
