DMV/Title Clerk 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 4000 Lapalco Blvd, Harvey, LA 70058 The DMV/Title Clerk handles information regarding motor vehicle registration and processes legal documents and other state-required documents. Title Clerks are administratively adept and organized with handling files and maintaining documents. The ideal candidate will have previous experience processing Motor Vehicle paperwork in a car or RV dealership, and a working knowledge of DMV Regulations and Procedures. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Job Duties:
Must hold customer satisfaction and quality to its highest standards. Process documents for state registration, fill out the proper paperwork and ensure that tax and title documents are completed. Send bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to the appropriate agencies. Check for accuracy in all documents and checks for completeness and signatures on all required parts of forms. Checks accuracy of vehicle sale and purchase prices. Organize and maintain file of sale, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other pertinent information related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle. High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a car or RV dealership preferred, but not required. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedules. Working knowledge of Motor Vehicle Regulations and Procedures. Ability to handle discrepancies or other issues in a professional manner. Ability to pass DMV’s screening process (in states where it is required). Pass drug testing, background investigation/interview.
