The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the real estate transaction process by examining and analyzing title documents to ensure clear property ownership. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services, loan processing, and relevant regulations. The Title Examiner will work closely with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions. Duties Review and analyze title documents, including deeds, mortgages, and contracts to determine property ownership and any encumbrances. Conduct thorough research using public records, databases, and other resources to verify property titles. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and identifying potential issues related to title defects or liens. Collaborate with loan processors and underwriters to resolve any title-related concerns during the mortgage servicing process. Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines. Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, and real estate agents regarding title issues and resolutions. Maintain accurate records of all title examinations and correspondence. Experience Proven experience in loan processing, mortgage servicing, or related financial services is preferred. Familiarity with underwriting processes and credit analysis is advantageous. Knowledge of contract law as it pertains to real estate transactions is beneficial. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying discrepancies in title documents. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
