Field Examiner/Abstractor Position Available In Westchester, New York

Job Description:

We are partnering with a well-established title company seekingan experienced Field Examiner (Abstractor) to join their New Yorkteam! This is a hybrid position with occasional travel tocourthouses as required to conduct in-person searches. You’ll playa critical role in ensuring thorough, accurate title searches andhelping the team deliver seamless, high-quality service.

KeyResponsibilities:

Conduct title searches in NY counties(residential & commercial properties) Review public records, deeds,mortgages, judgments, liens, and other pertinent documents Travelto courthouses to perform in-person research when necessary Compileand prepare detailed reports on property ownership, legaldescriptions, and encumbrances Identify issues or discrepancies intitle history and communicate findings Work closely with in-houseexaminers and title officers to ensure accuracy and completeness

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a Field Examiner/TitleAbstractor Deep knowledge of New York title laws, procedures, andcourthouse processes Strong attention to detail and ability toidentify title defects or red flags Proficient with title searchtools, online systems, and courthouse records Excellentcommunication and reporting skills Ability to work independentlyand manage your time efficiently Reliable transportation forcourthouse visits as needed
